Overview:
This course equips participants with the knowledge and confidence to navigate the rapidly evolving landscape of water meter technologies. It highlights the key features and benefits of new technology water meters, helping participants identify where and how they can deliver real value. The course also explores emerging water-use trends and their impact on metering strategies, and demonstrates how combining different meter technologies can create smarter, more cost-effective, and future-ready solutions.
At the completion of this one-hour OJT session, participants will be able to demonstrate the following:

- Know more about the important details of new technology water meters, to determine where and how they can provide added value.
- Be more aware of water use trends and how it affects water metering.
- Learn how to “mix and match” water meter technologies to get the best overall solution.
Facilitator : Chris Jay

Our facilitator is Chris Jay, Senior Technical Consultant for Water Meters and Water Meter Reading Solutions at Metercor Inc. With qualifications in both Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Chris has worked in the water meter and water meter reading solutions industry for over 36 years. Having worked for both Water Meter Solution Manufacturers and more recently Distribution companies, in the UK, Europe, South America and North America, Chris has gained significant knowledge, experience and expertise, in this unique industry.

These 1-hour virtual sessions are offered every alternate Thursday starting at 2:00 pm. Sessions are complimentary to all OMWA members and the fee for non-members is $30.00 CAD plus HST per person per session.
