Session #2: To Mix or Not To Mix … That is the Question!
Expires Wed. March 4, 2026
Overview:
Stagnant water is the root of so many water quality issues. Micro-organisms, Chemical residuals, corrosion, scaling, freezing, are all issues that ultimately result from stagnant water or more importantly a lack of mixing. In this session we will focus on the various problems that lack of mixing can cause in water systems, and various technologies that are pivotable in solving those problems, with a focus on air, solar, and grid powered mixing technologies. Understanding the challenges water systems are facing allows us to provide the right solution. Mixing is key to keeping your water systems healthy. Just like people water is at its best and most healthiest when it is moving. Mixing is key to a healthy and well-treated water system.
At the completion of this one-hour OJT session, participants will be able to demonstrate the following:
-
- What are the main challenges faced in most water systems.
- financial impact the lack of mixing can have on water system operations and performance.
- What mixing approaches can be utilized to elevate those challenges.
- Explain the benefits of air, solar, and grid powered mixing technologies.
- Identify the potential applications and projects that mixing would be of benefit.
