Overview:

Have you noticed overtime that you are backwashing your filters more often and you are unable to meet quality targets? Have upstream conditions changed? Are you working within the design parameters? Is the media fouled? Can it be cleaned? Does the media need to be replaced? This session will provide the necessary tools for you to optimize your filter performance.

 

At the completion of this one-hour OJT session, participants will be able to demonstrate the following:

• • • • • • • • • • • Understand the basics of filters.

                    • Recognize different types of fouling.

                    • Identify corrective actions for poor performance.

  Nathan Blundon

  Our facilitator is Nathan Blundon, Account Manager, District Water at Brenntag. Nathan joined Brenntag a year ago as Water Treatment Specialist. Prior to Brenntag he worked for Solenis in their industrial water division for 7 years. He has experience providing technical expertise within the water space in both municipal water and wastewater plants, as well as other industries including pulp & paper, mining and oil & gas.

   

  Logistics:
  These 1-hour virtual sessions are offered every alternate Thursday starting at 2:00 pm.  Sessions are complimentary to all OMWA members and the fee for non-members is $30.00 CAD plus HST per person per session.

  The OMWA will provide a certificate recognizing participation in these On the Job Training sessions.
