Session #13: Ministry approvals – why your compliance person drinks (water, of course!)
“Expires Wed Nov 6 2024”
Overview:
Municipal drinking water systems are required to have a license and permit – and they have to be renewed every 5 years – and guess what? It’s renewal time! Also, have you heard about the new Consolidated Linear Infrastructure Environmental Compliance Approvals (CLI-ECAs) for wastewater and stormwater? Those came out in the past couple of years so now your compliance person is trying to get all you operator-types on-board to help meet the new requirements. Come learn about what goes into renewing your Municipal Drinking Water License and get a sneak peek at the CLI-ECA requirements. By the end of the hour, you will understand why your compliance person needs that big refillable bottle of “water” they are always carrying around. (and if you are a compliance person, I hope you feel seen!)
At the completion of this one-hour OJT session, participants will be able to demonstrate the following:
-
-
-
-
- How the Municipal Drinking Water Licence Renewal process works
- Licence renewal best practices
- Understanding of the intent of the CLI-ECAs and who has to follow them
- Understanding of the CLI-ECA requirements
