Fee for non-members $30+HST.

Overview:

PFAS….the Forever Chemicals…..the scientific community has learned so much about these substances over the years including how to test for them, the optimal sampling requirements, best practices and much more. In this presentation, SGS Canada will discuss the current science on the sampling and measurement of the ever-changing world of per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).

At the completion of this one-hour OJT session, participants will be able to demonstrate the following:

                        • An awareness of the current state of regulatory methods
                        • What new techniques are being used in PFAS analysis
                        • Sampling Do’s and Don’ts
                        • A look ahead at passive sampling for PFAS

  • Facilitator:

    Bharat Chandramouli

Our facilitator is Bharat Chandramouli, Ph. D of SGS Canada.  Bharat is a senior scientist with 20+ years of experience in the occurrence, fate and transport of organic contaminants. He has published several peer-reviewed articles and book chapters on atmospheric chemistry, PFAS measurement, emerging contaminants occurrence, semivolatiles fate and transport and more. At SGS, Bharat manages the development of new products and services in North America and provides technical leadership on PFAS and other emerging contaminant issues. Bharat completed his Ph. D in environmental science and atmospheric chemistry from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
