Session #12: PEX-A and Multi-Joint Coupling: The Future of Durable, Low-Maintenance Waterline
Once you have registered you will receive a confirmation email within 12 hours containing instructions for how to join the webinar.
Overview:
With the growing demand for housing development, it’s important to re-evaluate traditional methods of water distribution for waterlines to the home and couplings connecting the waterline system. Given the unstable cost of metallic materials, planning budgets and advancing construction projects can be challenging. To address this, newer technologies such as PEX-A and Multi-Joint fittings offer reliable and cost-effective alternatives. This session will provide a clear understanding of what PEX is, how it can serve as a durable replacement for metallics in plumbing and how multi-joint coupling can ensure reliable connections that can be seamlessly implemented in future infrastructure projects.
At the completion of this one-hour OJT session, participants will be able to demonstrate the following:
-
-
-
-
- Understand the fundamentals of PEX and its key difference from other materials
- Explain how PEX can be used for waterline connection to the home.
- Understanding how multi-joint coupling can potentially be used in certain applications to reduce maintenance.
- Recognize how new plumbing product technologies – PEX and multi-joint – contribute to improved system efficiency and more resilient waterline design.
