Overview:
Concerned about dependence on bulk chemicals? With increasing worry about supply chains and inflationary price pressures, apprehension over quality of bulk water treatment reagents and uneasiness about how they compromise drinking water quality and harm of the environment; utilities need a sustainable and cost-effective alternative. A new technology replaces the use of hazardous bulk reagents by enabling the generation of water treatment reagents on-site and on-demand. This technology also has a 30 – 50% lifetime cost advantage and reduces GHG emissions.
At the completion of this one-hour OJT session, participants will be able to demonstrate the following:

- The importance of quality controls and certifications for water treatment reagents
- An understanding of the efficacy of generating water treatment reagents on-site
- Life-time cost analysis (including GHG emissions) of bulk treatment chemicals to those generated on-site

Our facilitator is Rick Bacon, CEO of Aqua Metrology Systems Ltd. Rick has a keen interest in technology start-ups and innovation, has led the company through their development and commercialization of online, real-time analytical and remediation solutions to predict, control and treat a range of contaminants in drinking water, process water and wastewater.

These 1-hour virtual sessions are offered every alternate Thursday starting at 2:00 pm. Sessions are complimentary to all OMWA members and the fee for non-members is $30.00 CAD plus HST per person per session.Questions:
