Overview:

Concerned about dependence on bulk chemicals? With increasing worry about supply chains and inflationary price pressures, apprehension over quality of bulk water treatment reagents and uneasiness about how they compromise drinking water quality and harm of the environment; utilities need a sustainable and cost-effective alternative. A new technology replaces the use of hazardous bulk reagents by enabling the generation of water treatment reagents on-site and on-demand. This technology also has a 30 – 50% lifetime cost advantage and reduces GHG emissions.

At the completion of this one-hour OJT session, participants will be able to demonstrate the following:

                          • The importance of quality controls and certifications for water treatment reagents
                          • An understanding of the efficacy of generating water treatment reagents on-site
                          • Life-time cost analysis (including GHG emissions) of bulk treatment chemicals to those generated on-site
                          • The value of real-time process control and optimization
