FREE to members.
Fee for non-members $30+HST.

Overview:

Water quality in distribution systems and plumbing has been a topic of concern recently as many buildings are opened following pandemic lockdowns.  During periods of little or no use, the water quality inside pipes can change dramatically, with potential negative health effects.  Other factors can influence water quality in distribution system, such as pressure fluctuations, contaminants, raw water and the treatment process itself. Instrumentation is available that will measure and record several indicator parameters continuously and send data and alarms automatically to you phone and SCADA, with the goal of improving drinking water safety. With this equipment, you will be able to answer the question – What’s in YOUR Water?

At the completion of this one-hour OJT session, participants will be able to demonstrate the following:

              • Recognize important indicator water quality parameters
              • Interpret the results produced by online analytical equipment
              • Maintenance and calibration requirements for online instruments
              • Awareness of software-driven data compilation and report preparation
