Overview:
Per- and polyfluoroalkyl (PFAS) can be found everywhere and regulations globally are on the rise. This common “chemical of convenience” is used to enhance every-day products and has been detected in places as far away as the North Pole. While PFAS may be considered a “forever” chemical there are ways to safely remove it from water. In this webinar we will explore and compare the two commonly accepted solutions for PFAS removal; factors to be aware of when selecting a solution; and how to leverage a piloting program to validate the expected performance as well as looking at the total cost of ownership.

Facilitators:
Tom Muilenberg & Sergio Cutié
Our facilitators Tom Muilenberg, Global Product Manager for De Nora Water Technologies, and Sergio Cutié, Global Business Development Manager with De Nora. Tom earned a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering Degree from the University of Minnesota in 1992 and has been working in the water treatment industry for over 30 years. At De Nora, he focuses on filtration and contaminant removal technologies. Sergio graduated from Michigan State University with a Degree in Chemistry focusing on Polymer Science. He has worked the water and wastewater industry for 23 years. At De Nora he focuses on Ozone/AOP, UV/AOP and PFAs Technologies.

These 1-hour virtual sessions are offered every alternate Thursday starting at 2:00 pm. Sessions are complimentary to all OMWA members and the fee for non-members is $30.00 CAD plus HST per person per session.
