FREE to members.
Fee for non-members $30+HST.

Intelligent technology produces efficient workflows when applied in the correct ways. As technology advances so rapidly, so is the world of underwater capabilities. Let’s look at the latest underwater robotic technology and think outside the square on just how, when, why and who can make use of such tools in underwater environments from tanks and reservoirs to lakes and lagoons and everything in between.

At the completion of this one-hour OJT session, participants will be able to demonstrate the following:

              • Recognize the meaning of ROV & USV.
              • The difference between portable mini ROV and traditional power supplied ROV.
              • The main benefits of ROV vs human occupancy in confined spaces.
              • The key features every ROV should have.
              • Understand USV capabilities in environmental monitoring.
              • Key features of sonar deliverables.

  • Facilitator:

    Blake Spittle

Our facilitator is Blake Spittle, Owner of completewaters. Blake has been in the field of water operations for 10 years. From operator to owner, Blake started completewaters seeing a need for more technology to be used in the field and away from traditional methods. Providing efficient, safe and effective workflow with the latest robotic technology of portable mini ROV’s and USV to assist with underwater data sets.

These 1-hour virtual sessions are offered every alternate Thursday starting at 2:00 pm.  Sessions are complimentary to all OMWA members and the fee for non-members is $30.00 CAD plus HST per person per session.

If you have any specific questions regarding this OJT session, please feel free to submit them when you register and we will provide them to the workshop facilitator.

The OMWA will provide a certificate recognizing participation in these On the Job Training sessions.
Attendance may also qualify as a Continuing Knowledge Activity for the PEO PEAK program
