Session #1: Why is my Water Quality Changing?

ON DEMAND RECORDING

Expires Wed Feb 5 2025

Overview:

Water quality problems in drinking water systems are often the result of complex interactions between source water chemistry, biology and the physical processes being used. This webinar will discuss a few common water quality problems that occur in drinking water treatment and distribution systems and provide some solutions that would be applicable under different conditions. This webinar is an excerpt from a 7-hour MECP Director-Approved operator training course.

At the completion of this one-hour OJT session, participants will be able to demonstrate the following:

          • Recognize the role of certain physical / biological processes influencing water quality
          • Make adjustments to process equipment in order to deal with these changes
          • Identify steps that can be taken in order to troubleshoot a water quality problem
