Expires Wed.Feb 3, 2021
Watermain installation and disinfection have been performed for many years. Understanding the procedure and its requirements will assist you in developing the best approach for the installation, disinfection and commission of new watermains, as well as response plans for watermain breaks. The data collected from watermain breaks can be used to understand the status of the distribution system and assist in prioritizing replacement of aging watermain.
At the completion of this one-hour OJT session, participants will be able to demonstrate the following:
- What are the changes to the procedure – understand and implement
- What are the Ministry expectations – be prepared
- Watermain breaks – special cases – plan ahead
- How to minimize customer service disruption
- The importance of proper documentation
