Overview:

Molecularly Oriented PVC pipe has been used for buried watermain applications in Europe and other parts of the world since the early 1970’s.  In 2008 IPEX launched Bionax Pipe, the first molecularly oriented PVC pipe to be manufactured in Canada, and since then Bionax has been the choice of most Canadian municipalities for their underground water distribution and transmission pipe networks.  This session will cover the technical, operational, environmental, and financial benefits of Molecularly Oriented PVC pipe over conventional PVC and traditional pipe materials.

At the completion of this one-hour OJT session, participants will be able to demonstrate the following:

              •  Differences between molecularly oriented PVC and conventional PVC pipe
              • Differences between molecularly oriented PVC and traditional pipe materials
              • Gain knowledge of risk factors for conventional PVC, oriented PVC, and traditional pipe materials
              • The operational benefits of molecularly oriented PVC pipe
