Overview:

There is a shift in our industry where plants are gathering significantly more data point than ever before, but are we taking full advantage of all that data? And is there essential data we are not gathering? This session is meant to review the impact of IIOT instrumentation in our Industry. How can we use data to improve Plants Asset Management? What does Smart Plant really mean?  Can we take advantage of Machine Learning to improve plant operation? Join this session if you are interested in what can be done today, to make Water Plant Smarter!

At the completion of this one-hour OJT session, participants will be able to demonstrate the following:

              • An understanding of the next industrial revolution
              • Why IIOT benefits overcome the risks associated with it
              • How can IT solutions improve OT solutions
              • How IIOT devices complements SCADA infrastructure.

Facilitator:

Marc-Philippe Camara

Our facilitator is Marc-Philippe Camara,  District Sales Manager for Hach Sales & Service Canada Ltd.  Since graduating from Université de Montréal in Biochemistry, Marc-Philippe Camara has spent all his 20+ years career in the water treatment industry. From Utility Water Chemical Treatment to Ultra-Pure Water System, passing by Municipal Water & Waste Water analytical instruments, Marc-Philippe developed firm expertise on Water Chemistry Analytics, using Laboratory & Online Instrumentation data to help customer optimize their operations.  As a member of Hach Sales & Service Canada sales team, he supports Hach municipal & industrial customer transition towards digital solutions. His main focus, is making sure customer trusts their data, that their analytical results are precise & accurate to be used to make smarter & faster operational decisions.

 

Logistics:
These 1-hour virtual sessions are offered every alternate Thursday starting at 2:00 pm.  Sessions are complimentary to all OMWA members and the fee for non-members is $30.00 CAD plus HST per person per session.

The OMWA will provide a certificate recognizing participation in these On the Job Training sessions.
