Overview:
Surge protection is essential for protecting operations against damage, losses and downtime caused by voltage spikes. Surge protection reduces maintenance costs and down time. The session will focus on water facility applications that can benefit from having surge protection.
At the completion of this one-hour OJT session, participants will be able to demonstrate the following:

- How does surge protection work?
- Where do surges come from?
- Why do your facilities need surge protection?
- The importance of Sine Wave Tracking filters.
Facilitator : Kelly Sturrock
Our facilitator Kelly Sturrock, National Sales Manager at Innosys Power. Kelly leads national sales strategy and works closely with regional representatives and partners to drive growth and market adoption of surge protection technologies. She is recognized for her role in strengthening relationships within the electrical industry and promoting awareness of surge protection as a critical component of infrastructure reliability. Innosys is a Canadian leader in surge protection solutions for industrial and commercial applications.

These 1-hour virtual sessions are offered every alternate Thursday starting at 2:00 pm. Sessions are complimentary to all OMWA members and the fee for non-members is $30.00 CAD plus HST per person per session.
