Operator Certification Program – What’s New and Training Guide Updates

 

Who Should Attend:

This webinar will be of interest to operators, supervisors, managers, and compliance personnel that have responsibilities for completing or supporting the completion of certification program applications forms. Also, managers and other personnel responsible for hiring certified operators.

Overview:

This webinar will provide information on recent updates to the Training Requirements for Drinking Water Operators guidance page available on Ontario.ca. The discussion will focus on the activities and topics accepted and not accepted for on-the-job practical training. An overview of the Operator Workforce Matching Portal will also be provided, including a quick tour, and information on its function and who uses it. The webinar will conclude with a presentation on our upcoming move away from paper-based forms to eForms and online fee payments.

Justin joined the OMWA board in 2020 and was recently elected President of OMWA.

Neil Chisholm has worked in Ontario’s Drinking Water and Wastewater Operator Certification Program for the past 18 years. Neil currently works as a Team Lead for the Certification and Licensing Programs Office for the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Park’s Program Management Branch. As a Team Lead, he provides leadership and technical expertise for the development, coordination, and administration of the Operator Certification Program.
