POSITION: Coordinator of Source Protection Program (Comp. #2017-65) Oxford County
LOCATION: Public Works, Water & Wastewater Department  
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Temporary Full-time (up to 1 year in duration) 
REPORTING TO: Manager of Water & Wastewater Services 
WAGE RANGE: $37.13- $46.41/hr. ($67,575- $84,470/annually) 
POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Manager of Water & Wastewater Services, coordinates the County’s Source Water Protection Program; is responsible for the implementation and enforcement of Source Protection Plan (SPP) policies under Part IV of the Clean Water Act including performing the duties of Risk Management Inspector and assists with duties of a Risk Management Official. 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Successful completion of a University Degree in Engineering, Environmental Geoscience or other related Science; registration or eligibility for registration as a 
Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) or a Professional Geoscientist (P. Geo.) in the Province of Ontario preferred.  Other combination of education and professional designation may be considered; certification or ability to obtain certification as a Risk Management Official and Risk Management Inspector under Part IV of the Clean Water Act; minimum of two years of related municipal or hydrogeological experience; working knowledge of the Clean Water Act and demonstrated knowledge of other relevant Standards, Acts, Regulations and guidelines as they pertain to water; strong verbal and written communication, negotiation, problem solving and project management skills; knowledge of industry Best Management Practices relating to chemical handling and storage, Environmental Management Systems and Pollution Prevention programs an asset; knowledge of hydrogeological modeling and GIS software an asset; knowledge of farming practices an asset; a valid Ontario driver’s required.
