How long have you been on the Board and what position do you currently hold? This is my first year on the Board. Just a foot soldier at this time.

What municipality or organization do you represent? City of Sarnia, County of Lambton, Lambton Area Water Supply System.

What is your educational and professional background? University of Western Ontario , BAACS (Administrative and Commercial Studies), Lambton College,  Diploma, Chemical Technology.  Also completed two years at the Academy of Mining and Metallurgy (materials engineering), Krakow, Poland

The OMWA is a not-for-profit organization and all Board positions, including yours, are all volunteer, what inspired you to become an OMWA Board Member? Sense of responsibility, desire to learn and contribute to sustainable  operations of the water industry       

What would you say to a 16-year-old student considering a career path, in water? Young man you are now at the most critical stage of your life. Choose career path that will not become obsolete before your retirement. Automation, robotics and artificial intelligence will replace human element in most traditional professions. Water will always be essential to human life and will never be replaced by a substitute. 

What advice would you give to a new graduate considering a position in the water industry? You are wise. Go for it.

What challenges have you had to overcome in your career? Mainly linguistic. I did not speak English when I arrived in Canada.

What are some of your hobbies or how do you spend your free time? . I am a competitive chess player. I also ' love mountain climbing. reading, running, walking, playing scrabbles, classical music 

What is something quirky about you? Some people think that I am psychic. 

If you could have a t-shirt printed with a message, what would it be? "Keep it clean. Water is life. Clean water is health"
